Wildlife tree creation- Columbia Valley Transmission Line

Over the past year we have worked with Pioneer Forestry Consulting Ltd/ BC Hydro providing tree climbing and hazard tree falling along the new transmission line between Golden and Invermere. As part of this project we climbed and topped, bored and scared large trees to be left as wildlife trees. This was a fun project that had us scaling some monstrous Douglas Fir trees that would have otherwise been felled to accommodate the new transmission line. Often we are asked what it is that we do....simply put we safely climb trees to prune, support, and remove.

TLC for a beautiful American Elm- Invermere BC

Proper tree pruning has many benefits to enhance trees in our landscapes. Green Leaf was commissioned to assess and provide pruning services on a beautiful American Elm tree on lake Windermere. Our skilled climbers removed dead wood and crossed and rubbing branches. We also raised the canopy above the cabin by making proper cuts to ensure the continued health of the tree. It was a pleasure to work on this tree! 

Tight quarters Poplar removal- Golden BC

Often trees will out-grow their space as they begin to encroach on homes and over-crowd landscapes. When this happens, Green Leaf is very well versed and experienced at removing very large trees in tight spaces. Attached are some pictures of Mike Plunkard carefully rigging down a large Cottonwood in the spring of 2011 in Golden.
